The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has introduced a new subject of Translation of the Holy Quran for the ninth and eleventh classes. This is the first time that a Pakistani board of education has introduced a subject on the translation of the Quran. The syllabus for the subject has been developed by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB).
The subject of Translation of the Holy Quran will be a compulsory subject for all students of the ninth and eleventh classes. The syllabus covers the translation of the entire Quran, as well as the interpretation of key verses and passages. Students will also be required to learn about the history of the Quran and its interpretation.
The introduction of this new subject is a welcome move by BISE Lahore. It will help students to better understand the Quran and its teachings. It will also help them to develop their Urdu language skills.
BISE Lahore Reduces Syllabus for Classes 1 to 10 by 20%
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has reduced the syllabus for classes 1 to 10 by 20%. This decision was taken in view of the delayed start of the current academic year. The reduced syllabus will be applicable for the academic year 2023-24.
The reduction in the syllabus will be across all subjects. However, the most significant reductions will be in the subjects of English, Mathematics, and Science. The reduction in the syllabus is expected to reduce the burden on students and teachers. It will also give students more time to prepare for their examinations.
The BISE Lahore has also announced that it will be conducting a series of workshops for teachers on how to implement the reduced syllabus. These workshops will be held in the coming months.
